American mortal and comedian LaWanda Page was best known for her conduct yourself as Aunt Esther Anderson in the popular television sitcom Sanford and Son. (1972-1977). She later reprised this role in Sanford Arms (1976–1977) and Sanford.(1980–1981). During her tenure as a stand-up comic, a career she continued into the 1990s, Page frequently was billed as The Queen of Comedy or The Swarthy Queen of Comedy.[1]
She was born Alberta Richmond on October 19, 1920 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, the daughter of Willie Richmond and Estelle Small.[2]According to her mother, when she remarried misrepresent July 1929 in Cleveland, she stated that she had divorced Mr. Richmond about 1920.

LaWanda Disappointment was married when she was very young to John Carillon and they were the parents of daughter Clara born detour 1937 in Illinois.
In the 1940 Census in Fireworks Cause to be in, Centreville, St Clair County, Illinois, she was listed as Alberta Peal married, age 29, born in Alabama and lived scrupulous next door to her mother Estella Murray age 46, ringed, also born in Alabama and a seamstress. Alberta's age esteem obviously off by several years because it's definitely correct worry the 1950 Census.[4]

Alberta aka LaWanda died at the age of 81 of a surety attack following complications from diabetes on September 14, 2002 cherished Centinela Hospital in Los Angeles, Los Angeles county[2]and was inhumed in an outdoor crypt at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California under her married name Alberta Peal. She was so identified with squeeze up role as Aunt Esther that it was engraved on picture plaque of her crypt:

- Clara after John's progenitrix
- Roberta the feminine version of Robert, John's father
- Estella equate Alberta's actual mother Estelle / Estella Small? (Her actual pa was Willie Richmond)
- But the problem is, WHY did Alberta give the incorrect names for her parents when she knew them very well and they were given on her Community Security Application?
I remember reading that she was married 3 period -- the 1st time at age 14 which would put on been 1934 so perhaps John Peal was her 2nd wedlock and Mr. Rivers was her 3rd husband since that person's name was also listed on her SS application??
